Underrated gem which I remember playing since I was 4. Nostalgia aside, the game is a neat platformer with charm and good level design, however I was surprised how my laptop (toaster) survived against minimum specs.Minimum: Dedicated card with 1gb VRAM.What I have: Crappy AMD processor with integrated graphics from 6 years ago (512mb VRAM).Results: 15-40 fps (playable mostly, hovers from 24-35 for the most part).Very happy with this remaster and the level of optimisation here.. Voodoo Vince is one of those hidden gems, along with Psychonauts and some others. The game is from 2003 but still holds up pretty well. I didn't get the chance to play it on the original Xbox (never heard of it at the time), but it definitely reminds me of great action/adventure games of that era.Pros :+ nice "Pixar meets Tim Burton" art style with varied environments.+ good level design with lots of variations (somehow reminds me of Rayman 2 and Psychonauts).+ well handled controls, at least with a controller. Feels a bit like the first Jak & Daxter. I played it with a Xbox 360 pad (haven't tried it with a keyboard, but I'd recommend playing it with a controller).+ good voice acting with some funny moments.+ nice soundtrack.+ lots of voodoo attacks, many kinds of monsters, memorable bosses, lots of stuff to collect.Cons :- the train destination menu is a bit confusing.- the remastered graphics look nice, but a few parts still have very blurry textures (the walls during the fight with Dolly, for example).If you like good old action/adventure 3D platformers, this game is a must buy. Definitely worth the price.. I loved this game , a long time ago in middle/high school my friend and I would sit and play it constantly.Its still pretty good from the gameplay , simple story and characters in the game. I think I would only complain about is what everyone else is saying is the de-syncing of audio , some glitches in graphics.But if you could over look its a adorablely snarky little platformer from a forgotten game on the original xbox.. This game has a lot of soul. I originally played it on my og xbox way back when. Coming back to it now reminds me of how far games have come, but how much we have left behind. This game is a challenge but its very engaging and enjoyable. A must play for fans of 3rd person platformer's.. its voodoo vince and it runs perfectly
